ENTRIES are open for the first awards dedicated solely to rural businesses.

A range of businesses across the country will have the chance to gain recognition during the Rural Business Awards.

The awards, set up by Jemma Clifford and Anna Price, have 10 categories available, giving a range of sectors the chance to gain recognition.

They are supported by the Country Land and Business Association and sponsored by the Sturgess Motor Group.

“These awards will acknowledge the vital contribution rural companies make, encourage the countryside’s superb entrepreneurial spirit and recognise business excellence within the rural sector,” said Ms Clifford.

“We are celebrating 10 categories from start-ups to renewable energy, and farm diversification to agricultural innovation.

“This is a chance for firms from every hamlet, village and rural location to showcase their excellence and success to the world.”

Businesses can enter the awards from today by visiting www.ruralbusinessawards.co.uk

The closing date for entries is Friday, April 24.
