Content Creator

Reporting to the Directors and Event Manager, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and improving content across various channels, and brands to achieve our business goals. You will develop content strategy, aligned with short- and long-term marketing objectives, while collaborating with different partners and associates to plan and develop content.

You will create and publish engaging content, while editing, proofreading and improving on other writers’ posts. You will liaise with the Rural Business Group team to ensure brand consistency, while also ensuring compliance with best practice and law. You will work on optimising content, according to SEO and also report on website traffic and user engagement metrics across all channels. You will manage content distribution to online channels, social media platforms and all other relevant channels to increase engagement and web traffic.

Finally, you will develop and manage an editorial calendar, to ensure relevant campaigns are planned and the teams/resources needed are on board.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • have experience of writing for business with marketing in mind, with demonstrable creative writing skills.
  • be able to perform well under tight timelines and be very detail-oriented.
  • have an understanding of brand consistency and content optimisation.
  • be familiar with writing for web and social media and understand the differing demands of each channel.

You may have experience in Marketing, Journalism or a related field but your ability to understand the needs of the business, the different channels available and to produce engaging, relevant and creative copy is more important.

Ideally we are looking for someone from a rural background who has an understanding of rural enterprise. If not from a rural background, a willingness to learn about the industry is essential.

Ultimately, you will oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience, so this is an involved and rewarding role.

Temporary Entry and Marketing Assistant

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • have excellent creative writing skills to support marketing tasks
  • be computer literate and confident in using a range of social media
  • be able to work to tight deadlines and be detail focused
  • be happy to talk to people in person on the phone and via email
  • be highly organised, punctual and able to work under pressure

Candidates with a rural background will be given priority.

Training will be provided and duties will include:

  • Managing entries
  • Dealing with enquiries
  • Researching and maintaining database
  • Generating leads
  • Event organisation
  • Marketing tasks
  • Social media engagement
  • Website updates

The role is based at our East Bridgford office.

This role will be 37 hours per week – National Living Wage will be paid relevant to age.
