Our 2019/20 awards year included 6 regional presentations and a national final.
All national finalists had already triumphed in their local region – 6 regional presentation events were held over a six week period in October and November 2019 – that saw the RBA team travelling the length and breadth of the country and meet over 700 rural businesses! We have once again confirmed our feeling that rural businesses have a strong regional sense of identity and shared pride in their local area.
Jules Hudson returned to expertly compere the evening and we were pleased to have welcoming addresses from our headline sponsor Amazon UK and from Openreach.
Together with our entrants, partners and sponsors we are making a very real difference to the profile of rural businesses in the UK. Together we will continue to grow and evolve – we are all part of a genuine push to give our wonderful rural businesses the recognition they deserve!
“The 2019/20 Rural Business Awards has been our best year yet, and our work to promote the rural sector would not be possible without the support of Amazon and our other sponsors. The calibre of entries this year was exceptional, so we’d like to wish a hearty congratulations to all our winners.”

The calibre of businesses entering this year’s awards has been higher than ever. I’d like to congratulate all the winners and nominees and wish them continued success for the future.”

“Rural businesses make a vital contribution not only to their local communities, but to the UK economy as a whole, and it is fantastic to recognise that with these awards. This government is backing businesses across every part of the country to drive innovation and sustainable growth.”
